About Porn Pilfering. Best Buy is on the offense, launching an internal witch hunt to unmask the “rogue employees” responsible for exposing Geek Squad’s pervasive culture of porn pilfering. Their first victim is the Geek Squad supervisor of the Santa Clarita store, one of the only Best Buy locations whose former employees were quoted in articles.
Some people just have loose morals.
Newegg Made a Mistake
I have to take back a few nice things I said about Newegg.com earlier. They STILL don’t take my credit card. Probably I was lucky when I ordered the three items (mobo, cpu and vga) but I subsequently tried to get the 2gb memory stick and was barred. Seemingly I failed the verification process because my credit card was issued outside of the US.
How lucky. So now I have to find alternate means of getting the memory from Newegg.com- or find another website.
Way to go Newegg. I was here singing your praises and giving you free press and you just had to make me cry. Shame on you.
Western Digital WDG1U5000
I recently purchased this hard drive from Amazon.com to properly handle my space issues. I usually buy countless DVDs to store everything but sometimes I don’t want to put things away but instead I want to easily open them. This drive was being sold for U$138 at the time and I jumped on that deal very quickly.
This My Book features USB 2.0 and a very simple setup process. The process is as follows: plug it in- turn on your computer. My computer doesn’t even know this is an external hard drive. As far as my PC is concerned this is just another large hard drive on my system. This means I can use this drive just like my regular IDE drive with no issues.
Of the 500GB I have about 298GB left because I had to deal with my immediate issues. My Book is quiet, secure and looks discrete on my desk. The design is like a big book- somewhere between a small dictionary and the bible.
Another great product from Western Digital. All my hard drives (whether internal or external) are made by and will continue to be made by WD.
My favourite Porn Star
I name my PCs and electronics after famous or my favourite porn stars. Jenna Jameson was the IT for me for a very long time- from as far back as high school hence my desktop from high school has been named Jenna.
Jenna ruled in her time but the world is moving ahead of her. She is still sexy but I don’t think she can keep up with today’s gaming requirements. I was recently roughly and aggressively hit in my face by an Overlord installation telling me that I do not meet the requirements. When Hitman: Blood Money did that to me I just got the Xbox version but I am not backing down with this highly anticipated Overlord game.
On a whim I decided to get a new motherboard, processor and graphics card from Newegg. Newegg.com usually rejects my credit card- hence I typically shop at Amazon.com for my electronics. Newegg is by far the best and better online electronics store so I haven’t really bought much from Amazon. Imagine my joy when my transaction went through.

I know what you are thinking- the Brisbane runs hot and why get 8500 when I can get 8800. Simple: Price!! This is the most affordable set I have ever seen. I left the scene between six and eight months ago when the processor was going for U$300. Imagine my glee to know I can get it for less than 100. I am overjoyed.
I still have a few things I need that I will be getting from newegg. First I will get the memory then in about a month I will switch from stock cooling to aftermarket cooling devices.
My good friend Yatta should be able to hook me up with the most price effective Case and PSU from a local store and then I should be set to play early to mid-August.
